Group Lessons
Remember band class in school? If you took this class you may remember how hard it was. If you did not learn at the same pace as your classmates you were lost. There is really no individual attention from your teacher when taking a group class. The same is true when you sign up for group lessons as an adult. Your piano tuition will be slighter cheaper than private lessons, but there is no freedom of choice. You learn what the rest of the class learns and you better be able to keep up. Avoid group lessons unless there are no other options.
Private Instruction
Here you may be able to work with your instructor on which type of music you wish to learn and a schedule to fit your lifestyle, but your piano tuition is going to be quite costly. Unless you can afford twenty-five to fifty dollars per hour, private instruction is limiting not only economically, but again, you will be limited to your teachers capabilities and teaching style.

By far, learning to play any instrument online is becoming the chosen method today, and with good reason. Your piano tuition is cut in half or more. Some lessons are even free online to get you started and become acquainted with the courses offered. Here are some benefits.
